Wirenet's SFP-GE-BX-U SFP transceiver is compliant with the Small Form Factor Pluggable Multi-Source Agreement (MSA). The transceiver is divided into five sections: LD driver, limiting amplifier, digital diagnostic monitor, 1310nm FP laser (1550nm DFB laser), and PIN/TIA. The module data link extends up to 10km in 9/125um single-mode fiber.
The transceiver conforms to the industry standard Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) form factor with an integrated LC bidirectional optical interface connector. The transceiver now includes an improved digital diagnostic monitoring interface that complies with the SFF-8472 standard. It reads the built-in memory through the I²C interface, providing real-time access to the transceiver operating parameters such as transceiver temperature, laser bias current, transmit optical power, receive optical power, and transceiver supply voltage.
Tx Disable has an LVTTL logic high input to disable the optical output, and the system can also disable the module through I2C. Tx Fault is used for signal laser degradation. LOS output is used to display the loss of optical signal input to the receiver or the link status with the partner. I²C register access can also be used to obtain the system's LOS (or Link)/Disable/Fault information.
Single-fiber optical modules are optical module products with only one optical fiber port. Only one optical fiber needs to be inserted to send and receive optical signals at the same time. Compared with dual-fiber optical modules, single-fiber optical modules have a wider range of applications at 100M, 100M and 10G speeds. SFP 1.25G Tx1310/Rx1550 10Km LC transceiver is one of the single-fiber series optical modules, which can be abbreviated as SFP-GE-SM1310-BIDI. When used, the other end device needs to use a module with a wavelength of 1550nm at the transmitting end and a module with a wavelength of 1310nm at the receiving end, and the transmission distance is the same.
