What is GYFXTY Fiber Optic Cable?
The GYFXTY fiber optic cable is an outdoor, non-metallic cable designed for dependable transmission in harsh conditions. It features a central loose tube design with Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) as the strength element, providing mechanical durability and shielding against electromagnetic interference. Its non-metallic construction makes it highly resistant to lightning, making it ideal for both aerial and duct installations.
The cable can accommodate 2 to 24 fibers, typically single-mode, and is recognized for its low attenuation and dispersion, making it suitable for long-distance communication. The fibers are positioned in a loose tube made of a high modulus plastic. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling compound. The tube is wrapped with a layer of water blocking system. Two parallel FRP are placed at the two sides. The outer sheath, usually made from polyethylene (PE), ensures water resistance and protection from environmental factors.
