What is GYTC8S Armored Fiber Optic Cable?
GYTC8S is a type of armored fiber optic cable used primarily for outdoor telecommunications networks. The fibers, either single-mode or multimode type, are placed in a loose tube made of high modulus plastic. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling compound. A steel wire locates in the center of core as a metallic strength member. The tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the strength member into a compact and circular cable core. After PSP is applied around the cable core, this part of cable accompanied with the stranded wires as the supporting part are completed with a polyethylene (PE) sheath to be figure 8 structure. This kind of cable is specifically applied for self-supporting aerial installation.

Core Features
* Self-Supporting Design: GYTC8S cables are often deployed in aerial installations where the cable can be suspended between poles without additional support.
* Armoring: The steel tape armoring offers protection against physical damage, improving the durability of the cable in harsh environments.
* Water Blocking: The jelly-filled tubes and additional water-blocking materials protect the cable from moisture, making it suitable for use in wet or damp conditions.
* UV Protection: The polyethylene sheath provides UV resistance, making the cable suitable for long-term outdoor exposure.
Applications
* Used in long-distance communication networks.
* Ideal for outdoor installations, especially in overhead (aerial) deployments.
* Often utilized in telecommunications, internet service providers (ISP) networks, and other areas where the cable might be exposed to the elements.
This type of fiber optic cable is robust and designed to withstand both environmental and mechanical challenges, making it suitable for outdoor, rural, or industrial installations.
