What is GYXTC8S Fiber Optic Cable?
The GYXTC8S is an outdoor fiber optic cable designed for aerial installations, characterized by its distinct "figure-8" self-supporting structure. It supports 2 to 12 fiber cores, offering a compact and robust solution for long-distance communications, including local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
The fibers, either single-mode or multimode type, are placed in a loose tube made of high modulus plastic. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling compound. A steel wire locates in the center of core as a metallic strength member. The tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the strength member into a compact and circular cable core. After PSP is applied around the cable core, this part of cable accompanied with the stranded wires as the supporting part are completed with a polyethylene (PE) sheath to be figure 8 structure. providing protection against moisture, crushing, and environmental hazards. The cable incorporates galvanized or stainless steel as a self-supporting element, delivering high tensile strength for aerial deployment and minimizing the need for extra support.
With excellent mechanical and environmental performance, the GYXTC8S is well-suited for harsh outdoor environments, making it a popular choice for rural or remote installations where durability is essential.This kind of cable is specifically applied for self-supporting aerial installation.
