Fiber Optic Quick Connector (Pre-embedded)

Fiber optic movable connectors, commonly known as quick connectors, generally called fiber optic connectors, are reusable passive components used to connect two optical fibers or optical cables to form a continuous optical path. They have been widely used in optical fiber transmission lines and optical fiber distribution frames. Among fiber optic testing instruments and meters, it is currently the most widely used optical passive device.


General structure

Product classification and structural requirements

1.1 The optical fiber field connector used for FTTx optical cable network is SC type and can be matched with standard SC adapter.

1.2 According to the end surface form of the pin body, it can be divided into two types: PC (including UPC) and APC.

1.3 According to the installation situation, optical fiber field connectors can be divided into the following two types:

Plug type: A movable connector plug that is mechanically assembled directly on the sheath of an optical fiber or optical cable. Socket type: A movable connector socket consisting of a fiber optic field connector plug and an adapter. Fiber optic field connector plugs and adapters can be of separate structure or integrated structure.

1.4 Optical fiber field connectors should be pre-embedded with single-mode optical fibers, and the ends of the connectors should be pre-polished at the factory without grinding and gluing at the construction site. The end of PC type field connector should be polished to PC or UPC spherical surface at the factory, and the end of APC type field connector should be polished to APC bevel at the factory to ensure the end surface quality and good reflection performance of the connector.

1.5 The fiber optic connector should be suitable for terminating 250 micron pre-coated optical fiber and can also be matched with 900 micron tight-buffered optical fiber.

1.6 The optical fiber connector should be suitable for direct assembly on the outer sheath of a butterfly-type lead-in optical cable with a size of 2.0×3.0mm.

1.7 Connectors should use no or less special tools. If necessary, you can bring your own crimping tools. During construction, you only need to be equipped with ordinary tools such as fiber strippers and fiber cutters. There is no need to use other power-consuming or complex structures. tool.
