Active optical splitter, commonly known as optical socket, is a network device that integrates optical signal distribution and POF power distribution.

It is used to connect optical fiber master equipment and optical fiber slave equipment in an all-optical network. It is configured with a standard POE protocol and can protect and manage terminal powered equipment.
